Madison Square Garden
Madison Square Park, located in the heart of New York City, has been a vibrant public space for over a century. It’s a place where people, activities, and events come together — from the children’s playground and dog park to the famous Shake Shack and seasonal art installations. With so much happening in one space, clear and cohesive signage is essential to help visitors navigate and enjoy the park.
For this project, I set out to improve the signage in Madison Square Park. On my first visit, I noticed the existing signs were either barely visible or so large and bright that they dominated the space. My aim was to design cohesive signage that complemented the park’s environment while enhancing wayfinding.
