HiveWork Pod

This project is centred around creating a supportive environment for digital nomads and remote workers on the move. I’ve reimagined the historic Safe House in Peckham as a welcoming hostel, maintaining its original Victorian charm while introducing modern, functional spaces. Inside, you’ll find both private and shared bedrooms, bathrooms, a communal kitchen, and a café open to guests and the public, all designed to encourage productivity and social connection. At the heart of the project are the HiveWork Pods, compact, sustainable, off-grid workspaces designed for flexibility and comfort. These hexagonal pods feature slanted glass roofs to optimise natural light, are constructed from reclaimed, responsibly sourced wood, and are insulated with hemp for a low-carbon footprint. Double-glazed windows improve thermal efficiency, while solar panels provide clean energy. HiveWork provides digital nomads with a tranquil yet practical space to work, relax, and connect, wherever they are.
